FUruno WEATHER RADAR

Define safe weather windows with local weather radar

Rigs and installations on the Norwegian continental shelf are mostly outside the detection range of land-based weather radars. Local weather conditions cannot be observed and must therefore be calculated. During planning of weather critical operations, this uncertainty is taken into account by applying sufficient safety margins and preparing for delays and interruptions.

A local weather radar provides better accuracy for forecasts. Far better definition of safe weather windows sufficient for operations is acheived in addition to improved cost control for offshore operations.

FUruno WAVE RADAR

WAVE ANALYSER_BØLGERADAR_WV-100

WaveAnalyzer is a new application of the Furuno navigation radar

A wave radar can provide valuable decision support during sailing in adverse weather and during weather critical operations such as crane work, anchor handling and connection of "walk-to-work" gangways.

Furuno WaveAnlayzer continuously receives all observations from the Furuno navigation radar and presents wave patterns and key information for individual waves that may pose a risk to transit or operations.

The WaveAnalyzer is presented on at dedicated monitor and key information is also presented on the navigation radar IMO mode display.
