IMO-approved Furuno radars
Furuno offers IMO radars both as solid-state and magnetron versions. All our models have high performance and are known for being reliable and service-friendly.
Wheel-marked radar models
An IMO-approved radar satisfies the IMO’s performance standard with associated test standards and has a type approval certificate from an approved company. When a radar model is approved for use on European-flagged ships, it must also be marked with the steering wheel-mark, as proof that the radar is approved in accordance with the EU Ship Equipment Directive; Marine Equipment Directive, often referred to as the MED Directive.
IMO X-band chart radar FAR-3210 (12 kW)
Chart radar with 12 kW transmission effect. Minimum antenna maintenance is required due to the new aerodynamic antenna design and brushless motor. All signal conversion is handled in the antenna module to avoid any signal loss between antenna and processor thus creating the sharpest possible radar image.
Can be configured as a stand-alone radar or as one of the MFDs (multi function display) in the Furuno Voyager INS. Features automatic clutter elimination and fast target tracking. Compatible with Furuno Oil- and Ice radar.
IMO X-band solid state chart radar FAR-3220 NXT (600W)
Solid State chart radar with 600W output power. With Solid State technology an even clearer echo image is obtained, including small vessels and other objects returning a weak echo. The range is increased and clutter is reduced to a minimum, leaving the navigator with an accurate presentation for improved situational awareness.
Automatic clutter elimination filter (ACE – Automatic Clutter Elimination) that is easily turned on or off. Quick target acquiring has improved the target tracking function also for the fast moving targets. This model can be installed as a stand-alone radar or be one of the MFD (Multi Function Display) stations in the Furuno Voyager INS.

IMO Solid State X-band radar FAR-2328 NXT (600W)
Clean and clear radar image and excellent detection capability. Solid-state radar technology provides higher performance in terms of increased range and more nuanced noise filtering. The new Target Analyzer™, Fast Target Tracking™ and Auto Target Acquire™ features also take advantage of Doppler technology. This provides quick and accurate detection and identification of targets. Approved for CAT 1, CAT 2, CAT 3, CAT 1H and CAT 2H depending on antenna rpm and monitor.

New radar model with new function to obtain secure navigation during navigation under difficult weather conditions. This radar is suitable for all kind of vessel up to 10.000 GT. Delivered with a 19’’ monitor.
